Recently, Indian Government has made some news, which attracted worldwide attention by imposing bans of several things that makes people doubt their sanity. However, there are still many people who believed these bans righteous and tackled the protest. Well, everyone has their views on the matter and I only wish to provide my version of it. People protested everywhere to lift off the bans as they considered it pointless, however, if you think it with an open mind, you may understand the exact reason for their decision.
At first, they banned the consumption and selling of beef (Cow’s Meat) as according to Hindu Mythology, Cow is considered as the mother. This led to countrywide protest, mainly by Muslim community who confronted it and claimed this ban as meaningless. Well, if I were to give my views on this matter, I would say everyone has the right to eat anything they desire. But as a vegetarian myself, I have always brazened out eating of animals from the start. And when it comes to a cow who has a significant role in Hindu tradition, killing and consuming it certainly a pitiful and disgraceful thing to do.
Later, the Indian Government banned a 30 year old noodle manufacturer ‘Maggie’, as there was a complaint of excessive use of lead (one of the ingredients) which can harm the human body. Lots and lots of people throughout India reacted poorly towards this ban as they have been consuming the noodles with their family for years now. They demanded to lift off the ban without further thinking of the reason behind the action. Many also believed the involvement of political personalities and showed their rage towards Indian Government. However, did anyone thought what if the reason behind the ban was actually true? What if consuming it can really make their kids ill? If that certainly is the case, would you still have reacted the same as you did? Or what if your child do gets ill after eating it? Who would you blame? The Government or the company? If the Government has taken a step to confirm your safety, shouldn’t you feel more grateful rather than barking rough words?
Lastly, they also impose a ban on watching porn in India and restricted all major porn portals where people can watch porn videos online. This step was also criticized immensely by Indian people and many foreign news channels also made fun of this ban. Well, this is something which actually seems insignificant. Watching porn can actually be good if you think it differently. It teaches you many things, which you can’t ask your teacher or your parents. However, what was the main reason behind Government’s this action. The ban was imposed by the Supreme Court when a lawyer sought the prohibition of porn sites in India as according to him, it promoted violence against women. I don’t understand the thinking of that man who believes porn promotes rape. Instead, I feel the opposite as men would have one less way to satisfy their sexual need, which will increase the chances of rape.
Whatever I think isn’t necessary, but what you think would certainly make an impact on the world and maybe to the Government as well. So first analyse research and then put your views to the public.
